The project

Multiple skateboard shops receive the Gulf 58 Nike SB Dunk. The raffle system is likewise used for gaining interaction with new potential followers on Social Media Platforms, in this case Instagram. Therefore distinction in the announcement content, the animation, can provide a strategic short term advantage over industry competitors.

After analysing the result of the announcement, it can be said that by using the animation an increase of views by 138% was reached in comparison to a regular still announcement post.

Interaction is estimated to have increased over 211% compared to regular "still" announcement posts as the total amounts of views, through shares of different accounts, rose up to 106K.

GULF 58 - Nike SB DUNK

The Gulf 58 Nike SB Dunk was a low anticipated shoe release. Considering the current hype around the Nike SB model within the sneaker community, this release asked for a special form of announcement to ensure that the client could stick out above the direct competitors. A 3D animated release through the social media platforms of Rufus in order to maximise reach, impact and succes of the launch. Making them stick out just that little bit more.
